Greetings and welcome to my "Dream build" donation site!

This site was set up to maintain and show the progress of my project to build a new computer that will hopefully last me a few years. As those of you who know me knows I'm very reliant by my computer, you also know the bad shape its outdated hardware is and that I have no way of building a new one from my own resources.

So what to do? I finally had to swallow my pride and ask friends and people I deal and work with for assistance, badly needed help, to some day hopefully complete this project.

On these pages you will be able to see the current state of the project, current goals, check the donated totals as well as, of course, make a donation if you like (monetary needed of course but moral support is also highly appreciated).

So, what's the goal of the project, does a "dream build" mean a super computer beyond the means of most users? The simple answer is no. What my "dream build computer" is, is a machine that will meet certain criteria, being:

  • Decent performance, able to handle the workload of today, and hopefully, tomorrow.
  • Somewhat future proof, should be able to handle a few upgrades over the next few years (CPU, GFX).
  • Quality parts that will endure and save replacement costs.
  • Low cost, build must be as cheap as possible still meeting the other requirements.

I.e. the best possible system I can build with the lowest possible budget, a system that can handle my daily work and gaming for a foreseeable future.
The plan is to buy as much as possible of the hardware in the US and have it privately shipped to Sweden as that will (even with shipping added) lead to a total build costing substantially lower than buying everything within Sweden.

Current Build idea can be seen here.

Current donation totals can be found here, and the donors are listed here.
